28 (NIV) ÒBut when thatservant went out, he found one of his fellow servantswho owed him a hundred denarii [a few dol-lars].He grabbed him and began to choke him. ÔPay back what you owe me!Õ he demanded. 29 His fellow servant fell tohis knees and begged him, ÔBe patient with me, and I willpay you back.Õ 30 But he refused. Instead,he went off and had the man thrown into prisonuntil he could pay the debt. 31 When the otherservants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everythingthat had happened. 32 Then the master calledthe servant in.
