¥The Old Testament was used to bring the message of Jesus to Jews
and to ÔGod-fearersÕ (non-Jews who worshiped
with the Jews).
¥The Old Testament was used as a record of GodÕs activity in previous
centuries, as a revelation of GodÕs
character and of human nature, and a guide for how
believers ought to live.
¥The New Testament was prepared to record the testimony of the apostles,
who would not be living much longer, to the
person & work of Jesus.
