oThe prophet Hosea (3:4-5), writing centuries before the

sociological features that would characterize the Jewish
people for a long time:
n(1) They would lack their own kings of the line of David.
n(2) They would not even have their own rulers.
n(3) They would no longer offer sacrificesÉ
n(4) Énor would they use sacred pillars
n(5) They would have no high priestÉ
n(6) Énor would they worship idols.
