ÜA number of geologic strata are nearly pure salt, limestone, shale or sandstone.
ÜIf the flood was characterized by huge tidal waves (to form layers), how do we get these nice separations rather than everything mixed up?

Tropical tidal flat with strong evaporation
Temperate lake or bay with sedimentation
