nÒÉ the Gospel acc to Mark had this occasion: When Peter had preached the
word publicly in Rome & had declared the
Gospel by the Spirit, those who were present
— they were many — besought Mark, since he had
followed him for a long time & remembered
the things that had been spoken, to write out
the things that had been said; and when he had
done this, he gave the Gospel to those who had
asked him. When Peter learned of it later,
he neither obstructed nor commended it.Ó
